Today, we celebrate 250 years of America, a milestone that reminds us that freedom is more than a moment in history. It's something we continue to pursue every day.

At Heartland, we have the privilege of walking alongside individuals as they reclaim their freedom from addiction, mental health challenges, and the struggles that keep them from living the lives they deserve. Recovery isn't always easy, but it is possible, and every step forward is worth celebrating.

As we gather with family, friends, and our communities this Independence Day, we're reminded that true freedom also means hope, healing, and the courage to begin again.

Today is National PTSD Awareness Day. 💚

Trauma affects everyone differently. For some, its impact doesn't end when the event is over. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can influence thoughts, emotions, relationships, sleep, and daily life—but it does not define a person's future.

Awareness starts with understanding. By learning more about PTSD, we can reduce stigma, foster compassion, and create spaces where people feel safe asking for help.

If you or someone you care about is experiencing symptoms of PTSD, know that effective treatment is available. Healing is possible, and you don't have to navigate it alone.

It's okay not to be okay.

This Men's Mental Health Awareness Month, we want every man to know that struggling doesn't make you weak, it makes you human.

Too often, men are taught to stay silent, push through, and carry the weight alone. But healing begins when we talk about what we're going through and reach out for support.
