🐮Your lungs work harder than any farm equipment. Protect them.

Every day, your lungs put in the work—delivering oxygen, helping you stay active, and keeping your body running. Unlike a tractor or combine, there's no replacement part when they wear down.

Don't be outsmarted by livestock. Ni****ne products, including ci******es and vapes, can damage your lungs and make it harder for them to do their job.

Whether you're thinking about quitting, cutting back, or helping someone you care about, support is available. Small steps today can lead to healthier lungs tomorrow.

Need help quitting? Contact the NYS Quitline at 1-866-NY-QUITS (1-866-697-8487) or visit nysmokefree.com for free resources and support.

Look before you lock! ☀🚗🌡

Never leave infants, children or pets in an unattended parked car, especially during hot summer days. Even if the windows are open or it feels cool outside, temperatures inside a car can rise almost 20 degrees within the first 10 minutes.

Always check to make sure everyone is out of the car before locking the door and walking away.

🐮🚭 🐮 🚭

Here in Lewis County, to***co and ni****ne use remains a serious health concern. According to the 2025 Community Health Assessment, approximately 21.6% of adults report smoking ci******es—well above the state average.

To***co use affects more than just the person using it. Behind every statistic are friends, family members, neighbors, and coworkers whose health and well-being may be impacted.

While many people associate smoking with lung cancer, the dangers don't stop there. Ci******es, e-ci******es, and other to***co products contain harmful chemicals that can contribute to heart disease, stroke, chronic respiratory illnesses, and multiple types of cancer. To***co use can affect nearly every organ in the body and reduce overall quality of life.

Choosing to live to***co-free is one of the best things you can do for your health, and it's never too late to make a change.

If you're ready to quit, free help is available through the New York State Quitline at 1-866-NY-QUITS (1-866-697-8487) or text QUITNOW to 333888 or online at www.nysmokefree.com.
