July is UV Safety Awareness Month and UMC wants to remind you to safeguard against the sun. Follow these simple practices to keep your skin and eyes safe year-round from overexposure to UV rays!

Wear sunglasses, a broad-brimmed hat, protective clothing and SPF 30+ sunscreen don’t forget SPF lip balm! Stay hydrated and rest in the shade when you can. Spread the word and prioritize UV safety this summer!

FYI to all of our wonderful patients. Please be aware of this change with United healthcare. PALS is still in network with UHC.

UMC and UMC Physicians continue to care for in-network UnitedHealthcare patients.

Patients can continue receiving care at UMC facilities and clinics without interruption.

Texas Tech Physicians (TTUHSC) providers are now out-of-network, which may impact costs.

We encourage patients to contact UnitedHealthcare to confirm coverage.
