On Tuesday evening, June 2nd, we were thrilled to introduce the new name for our senior education workshops: NEXT CHAPTER
For years, our senior education workshops have been known as W.I.S.E. (Wisdom Inspired Senior Education). This week, we were excited to launch a new name that reflects the journey we are all on—NEXT CHAPTER.
Life is filled with chapters. Some come with age, some with grief, some with new opportunities, and some with unexpected changes. No matter where you are in your story, our goal is to help you learn, connect, plan, remember, and live well as you move into your next chapter.
We were delighted to welcome nearly 60 attendees to our first workshop under the new name. Our guest speaker, Veronica Coffin with the UMC SAS Program, shared valuable information about the many programs and resources available to seniors in our community. She also led participants through several exercises that are part of the classes offered through the UMC Activities Center, giving everyone a fun and interactive glimpse of what they can experience.
As an added surprise, Veronica generously provided every attendee with a One-Week Unlimited Class Pass to the UMC Activities Center!
Following the presentation, everyone enjoyed coffee, desserts, and fellowship while Veronica stayed to answer questions and visit with attendees. These conversations and connections are one of the things that make our workshops so special.
A special thank you to Angela, who introduced our speaker and was available throughout the evening to answer questions and provide information about preneed planning opportunities, including special discounts for those interested in scheduling an appointment.
