Each year, June is set aside as Men's Health Month. This month serves as a reminder for men to prioritize their health and well-being, break down the stigma surrounding men's health, and seek help when needed. By leading a healthy lifestyle and recognizing the importance of preventive care is helpful in detecting a multitude of men’s health issues. Maintaining regular checkups with doctors helps early detection and ultimate treatment for certain cancers, diabetes, kidney issues and other health factors that often are associated with men as they age.

Recognizing Stroke, FAST

This month we focus on National Stroke Awareness, and the acronym – FAST. Prevention is key to suffering a stroke, and the acronym, FAST is important for you and your loved ones to know.

F- Face/Does the face droop on one side when trying to smile?
A – Arm/ After raising both arms, does one of the arms drift downward?
S – Speech/is speech slurred or strange?
T- Time/ If any or all of the above are observed, call 911 immediately.

Our focus is always to be compassionate with our many patients. With that said, education is part of that compassion so we may assist even before a serious health condition can change a life forever.

Every veteran has voluntarily taken an oath to serve our nation. Many wars have been fought for the love of country. This month, however, we celebrate Memorial Day. A day set aside to remember those who never came home. Many – with all good intentions - call a veteran and thank him or her for their service to our Country on Memorial Day. While EVERY day is a time to celebrate a veteran, it is Memorial Day we recognized those who gave the greatest sacrifice by giving their life in protection of this great nation. It is our pride to serve all veterans, but ask you take a moment this Memorial Day and remember all those who gave the ultimate sacrifice with their lives in fighting for this great land of the free and the home of the brave.

*Honoring our Heroes*

As we approach Memorial Day, we take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices made by the brave men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. Among our clients, we have the privilege of caring for many veterans who have selflessly served our country.

Today, we honor your service, your courage, and your dedication to our nation's freedom. We recognize the sacrifices you've made, the challenges you've faced, and the memories you carry with you every day.

We are humbled by your strength and resilience. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve you, and to support your well-being. We are proud to care for heroes like you, who have given so much to our country. On Memorial Day, we remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our nation. We honor their memory, and we acknowledge the grief and loss that many of you have experienced.

To our veteran clients, we want you to know that we see you, we appreciate you, and we are here for you. We will continue to provide you with the highest quality care, compassion, and respect. You are not alone, and we will always strive to support you.

Thank you for your service. Thank you for your sacrifice. And thank you for being an inspiration to us all.

Long-term care and personal care services encompass a range of assistance for individuals with chronic illnesses or disabilities, helping them maintain independence and quality of life, often for an extended period.

Long-term care refers to services that address the needs of individuals who have difficulty performing everyday activities due to chronic illness, disability, or aging. This can include assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, using the toilet, and mobility, as well as help with household tasks, medication management, and transportation.

The goal of long-term care is to help individuals maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life, while also providing support to their families.

So who needs it?

While many seniors may need long-term care, it can also be necessary for people with chronic conditions, disabilities, or other lifelong conditions.

When it comes to Personal Care Services, we believe no one should ever be alone. While it can be difficult to decipher the best long-term care plan for you or a loved one, we’re here to take the guessing out and help explain what plan may work best for you. In addition to helping decipher the often-overwhelming topic of long-term care, we are here 24/7 and 365 days a year to be sure our clients receive the greatest human need – companionship.
