Did you know that Chipotle Chili Pepper is really just a jalapeño pepper?

Chipotle peppers are jalapeños that have been ripened to red, then smoked and dried, giving them a smoky, earthy, and slightly sweet flavor with medium heat.

The smoking process transforms the jalapeño's flavor, and they are sold dried or canned in adobo sauce, with common varieties being the darker, smokier Meco and the fruitier Morita.

Key characteristics
Origin: Mexico; the word "chipotle" comes from the Nahuatl word for "smoked chile pepper".

Flavor: Smoky, earthy, and sweet, with a heat level typically higher than a fresh jalapeño but within the same range (2,500–10,000 Scoville Heat Units).

Process: Ripe red jalapeños are smoked for days, which dries them out and concentrates their flavor.

Varieties:
Chipotle Morita: Smaller, redder, and fruitier; the most common type in stores.
Chipotle Meco: Larger, darker, and smokier.
Usage: Used to add a deep, smoky flavor to sauces, chilis, and marinades, often found canned in adobo sauce or as a dried spice.

Silica is an important trace element for our health that plays a role in skin, hair, nails and joint health.

These herbs increase and aid in the production of silica.

Horsetail facilitates and holds calcium in the body to help keep the body from becoming stiff and immobile.

Horsetail also has a high silica content, strengthening fingernails and hair while boosting elasticity and improving circulation.

Bringraj, known as “king of hair,” in Ayurveda, stimulates hair follicles, encouraging hair growth while reducing breakage, dandruff and even prevent premature graying.

Fo-Ti’s Chinese name is He Shou Wu which roughly translates as Mr. Wus hair stays black, Fo-Ti also prevents premature graying and enhances hair health.

Alfalfa is high in many vitamins and minerals such as B-12, beta-carotene and vitamins A and C, all contribute to healthy skin.

Oat Straw holds calcium in the body and is very high in silica.

Gota Kola is a blood cleanser and used for circulation.

Rosemary oxygenates the body.

Kelp promotes healthy hair, skin and nails.
