We ended up having to pay for pain meds out of pocket and they were only allowing him to get 2 pain meds at a crucial time instead of All.." says Isabel on Google

"The compassion, love, and care you all showed my Dad and my family was a true reflection of God's work. You helped us feel less alone, and gave our family peace knowing my Dad was in the best hands possible.
We would especially like to thank Andrea and Manuela. The way they cared for him went beyond tending to his physical needs. They always treated him with respect, patience, and dignity. They were true angels.." says Evaleen on Google

Happy National Volunteer Appreciation Week! We want to thank each of our amazing volunteers who selflessly contribute their time and their heart to make a difference in our patient's lives. Our Spotlight Volunteer is Austin Owens, who has been volunteering with our patients for over 2 years. Austin always becomes an invaluable friend to every patient he visits, and he always takes the time to form a true bond and relationship. He is always positive and friendly and he once said that he is always striving to make his mom proud.

"I started volunteering with Hospice of the South Plains because I wanted to help people, but I quickly realized that volunteering for hospice offers so much more than just an opportunity to make a difference in others’ lives. It provides a profound perspective on a part of healthcare that often goes unnoticed. The insight I’ve gained has been invaluable, and the relationships I have made along the way have forever impacted my life." – Austin Luke Owens
