Awe!!!

This mama waited TWO WHOLE WEEKS past her due date to meet this little one, only to have an active labor of less than five hours. Her patience paid off! 🤍

When she called, she was calm and collected, letting us know that her water had broken and that she thought it was probably time to meet up. The birth team headed in, and once she arrived, she told us that her contractions had slowed down.

But this mama listened to her intuition.

She knew that if she allowed her body to rest and acclimate to the space, her contractions would pick back up- and sure enough, they did! ✨

Just an hour after arriving, Dad let us know that she was feeling pushy.

From there, things moved quickly!

This mama demonstrated incredible strength and confidence as she caught her own baby in the tub. And then came the moment she had been waiting nine long months for: she got to discover who she had been carrying all this time.

A GIRL! 🎀

We all knew this was going to be a special moment, but I don't think anyone in the room was prepared for what came next.

Mama leaned back, snuggling her brand-new baby girl against her chest for the first time, and softly whispered:

“Thank you, Jesus.”

I think the whole room teared up. 🥹

This mama demonstrated such grace, strength, patience, and trust at every turn throughout her pregnancy and birth. And when the moment finally came, it couldn’t have unfolded more beautifully.

“At just 15 years old, Laurent Simons has achieved a milestone that most people spend decades working toward: a PhD in quantum physics.

The Belgian prodigy successfully defended his doctoral thesis at the University of Antwerp in November 2025. His academic journey began remarkably early—he completed a bachelor’s degree in physics at 11 and a master’s degree in quantum physics at 12.

His research has explored Bose–Einstein condensates and their connections to black-hole physics, while his earlier work also included quantum optics research at the Max Planck Institute.

Now, Simons is pursuing another doctorate in medical science with a focus on artificial intelligence. His long-term ambition is to combine physics, chemistry, medicine, and AI to help extend human life.

From child prodigy to young researcher, his journey is anything but ordinary.”

Life gives you trial after trial, and pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum are no different.

After past births, Mom felt determined to change her story this time around. Throughout pregnancy, Mom and Dad showed up as a strong, united team. It was so clear just how strong, bright, and warm this mama is.

When labor began, they stayed connected and grounded. Mom worked incredibly hard through each contraction, and when she reached complete, she began pushing. After pushing for a while, Mom made the decision to head to the hospital, and ultimately, this story ended in a C-section.

But that wasn’t the end of the story. Through every twist and turn, Mom and Dad continued to show up as a strong, united team, supporting one another every step of the way.

Postpartum looked a little different than they had imagined, too. Yet once again, they navigated every unexpected turn together- with strength, love, and unwavering support for each other.

Now, Mom, Dad, and sweet little Oscar are home, settling into and enjoying this beautiful next phase of life. ❤️

Congratulations, Mom and Dad! It was truly such a joy and honor to walk alongside you through this journey. 🤍
