Bethany David, Physician Liaison, and Meagan Myers, RN Clinical Care Manager, attended the Senior Health Fair at the Alabama-Coushatta Senior Center along with Meagan’s daughter, Maggie, and her friends Kaylani and Andi.

The three young ladies are juniors enrolled in the Health Science program at Big Sandy High School and volunteered their time to assist with taking vital signs, lipid panels, and blood glucose levels for the elders who participated in the health fair.

Whether it be seeing a patient improve to the point they graduate from our services or supporting them as they transition to a higher level of care knowing that I was there to help them in either situation is extremely rewarding and makes every hard day worth it.

💙Favorite APW memory: I don't feel that there's one particular story but just in general I feel as if nursing in the home health world is a little different.... being able to sit and visit with the patient that may not see another person or another smile until we come back the next week, that brings my heart joy and peace and I hope to always bring that to my patients. ❤️
