💙 Reflecting on an Unbelievable CNA Week! 💙

As CNA Week comes to a close, we want to take a moment to say THANK YOU to the incredible CNAs who are at the heart of patient care.

Throughout the week, we celebrated our amazing team with grab-and-go breakfasts, loaded teas, a nacho bar, gift bags, and special treats—but the real celebration was recognizing the compassion, dedication, and kindness our CNAs bring to patients and families every single day.

We wrapped up the week with a special treat: massages courtesy of the amazing Sheila Cromar! 💆‍♀️✨

Sheila helped our CNAs take a well-deserved moment to relax, recharge, and focus on themselves for a change. The massages were a huge hit, and we are so grateful for her generosity and talent in helping make our team feel appreciated.

A special thank you as well to our community partners who helped make this week memorable and to our Affinity family for helping us celebrate these incredible caregivers.

🦋 Building Partnerships Through Education 🦋

Today, Affinity Healthcare was proud to host a Lunch & Learn at Countryside Senior Living of Lufkin as part of our CNA Week celebration.

Our Hospice Consultant, Elliott, had the opportunity to meet with Countryside's leadership team and caregivers to discuss Affinity Healthcare's services, when hospice may be appropriate, referral guidelines, and our mission of providing compassionate, patient-centered care to patients and families throughout East Texas.

These conversations help strengthen community partnerships, provide valuable education, and ensure patients receive the support and care they need at the right time.

A special thank you to the team at Countryside Senior Living of Lufkin for welcoming Elliott and Affinity Healthcare. We appreciate the opportunity to share our passion for serving patients and families while celebrating the incredible CNAs who make a difference every day.

Have you ever wished you could make a real difference in someone's life?

At Affinity Healthcare, our volunteers provide companionship, encouragement, and support to patients and families during some of life's most important moments.

You don't need healthcare experience.

You don't need special training to get started.

You simply need a caring heart and a willingness to help.

Our volunteers may:
🌻 Visit and talk with patients
🇺🇸 Visit fellow veterans
📬 Help with office projects and mailings
🏡 Assist with light yardwork, mowing, and handyman projects
🤝 Support community events and outreach activities

Whether you can give a few hours a month or a few hours a week, your time can bring comfort, dignity, and connection to someone who needs it most.

A hero is coming home 🇺🇸

Cpl. Orestus Marion Stewart, once listed as MIA, has been identified and will soon return home to Jasper. This moment is more than history—it’s a chance for our community to come together, honor his sacrifice, and support his loved ones.

Affinity Healthcare is honored to serve communities like Jasper, and we invite you to join us in showing respect, gratitude, and unity as we welcome him home.

Help us welcome home our Brother in Arms who was MIA during the Korean War. They just identified his remains and they are bringing him home to Jasper. Help us give him a welcome home he deserves. Lets line the streets in red, white and blue on May 20th. If you want some hand held flags we will have them at the VFW at 251 N Main St starting at 0900 and along the route starting at 10. Thank You and hope to see you all out there.
