💛💙 EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT | Celebrating 10 Years! 🎉

Today, we're celebrating a very special milestone for Carlee Badeaux, LVN — 10 years with Affinity Healthcare! 🎉

For Carlee, healthcare has always been about helping others. Her passion for hospice care comes from a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of patients and to provide comfort and support to families during some of their most difficult moments. She finds the greatest reward in knowing she can help make someone's journey a little easier through compassionate, personalized care.

❤️ A Moment That Stays With Her

Carlee recalls one of her very first hospice patients, who was initially given just six months to live. After adjustments to his care helped improve his comfort, he remained in our care for a couple of years. During that time, they developed a special bond that Carlee still remembers today. It's experiences like these that remind her why she loves what she does.

💙 Why She Loves Affinity

When asked what she enjoys most about Affinity Healthcare, Carlee's answer was simple: her work family! She describes our team as family-oriented, caring, supportive, and understanding. As a mother of three, she especially appreciates having coworkers and an organization that understand the importance of family and have always supported her when she needs to be there for her loved ones.

☀️ Beyond the Scrubs

When she's not caring for patients, Carlee stays busy being a mom of three! She loves spending time with family and friends, enjoying lake days, and traveling whenever she gets the chance.

We couldn't think of a more fitting quote for someone who has dedicated a decade to making others feel cared for, supported, and valued.

What a fun night for Affinity Healthcare! 💙💛 We had such a great time at Dinner at the Diamond—enjoying good food, great company, lots of laughs, and the opportunity to support the wonderful community we’re so proud to serve.

Events like this remind us just how special East Texas is. We’re grateful for every opportunity to get out, connect with our neighbors, support our community, and have a little fun together along the way! 🥰

Happy Human Resources Appreciation Day! 💙💛

Today we had the pleasure of gathering around the table to celebrate Thaddeus and to say thank you for everything he does for our Affinity Healthcare family!

Human Resources is so much more than paperwork and policies. It’s supporting our team, answering countless questions, helping us navigate the not-so-easy stuff, and making sure our employees feel heard, valued, and cared for. Thaddeus does all of that—and so much more!!

We’re grateful for his hard work, patience, dedication, and all the ways he helps keep our team moving forward. It was wonderful to slow down for a little while today, share a meal, laugh together, and celebrate the person who spends so much of his time supporting everyone else.

🌟 EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT | KAYLA COX, LCSW 🌟

Today we’re proud to shine our Employee Spotlight on Kayla Cox, LCSW, who has been part of the Affinity Healthcare family for 4 years! 💛

Kayla was drawn to healthcare by a desire to support patients and families through some of life’s most vulnerable moments—bringing compassion, honesty, and genuine support when it is needed most.

For Kayla, some of the most meaningful moments aren’t necessarily the biggest ones. Sometimes it’s simply being present, easing someone’s fear, helping a family feel a little less overwhelmed, and reminding them that they don’t have to walk through a difficult season alone.

One of the things she treasures most about her work is getting to know patients and families from all different walks of life and hearing the stories they entrust to her.

💬 “Sometimes I am the last person to hear those stories, and I carry them with me every day to honor those I have had the honor of serving.”

Kayla also shared something we think beautifully captures the heart of hospice care and the people behind it:

💛 “Our team truly comes together when a patient or family has a need, and we do everything we can to meet that need. There is something beautiful about the quiet work we do, and the public will never know.”

When she isn’t caring for patients and families, Kayla is usually spending time with family and friends or cheering on her children from a softball field, basketball court, or volleyball court. And here’s something you may not know about her—she loves taking road trips on her purple motorcycle! 🏍️💜 Her most recent adventure took her all the way to Colorado!

Kayla describes the Affinity culture in two words: caring and compassionate. Those are also two words that describe the heart she brings to her work every day.

Kayla, thank you for the compassion you show, the stories you carry, and the quiet difference you make in the lives of our patients and families. We are so grateful for your four years of service to Affinity Healthcare and proud to have you on our team. 💛💙
