Did you know you need vaccines throughout your life? Even if you were fully vaccinated as a child, the protection from some vaccines can wear off over time. Your needs also change as you age - including new recommendations for the shingles and RSV vaccine for adults 50 years of age and older.

ACCHD makes staying up-to-date with immunizations easy. Our team administers vaccines Monday-Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. You can also visit our website for the full recommended schedule for adult vaccines, https://www.acchd.us/documents/adults-schedule-easy-read.pdf.

We are incredibly proud to announce that your Angelina County & Cities Health District is now considered an ADCES Diabetes Education Accreditation Program!

This achievement was made possible through the diligent efforts of our Public Health Nurse Educator, Ann Watson, RN, who closely partnered on the Lifestyle Change Program with the UT Tyler Center for Community and Rural Health Education – a specialized network within UT Tyler School of Medicine.

This accreditation will help us further our efforts in educating and supporting ALL Angelina County residents in preventing and managing diabetes.

Get started now with our online education from local voices - https://www.acchd.us/it-all-adds-up/diabetes-education/ - or register for upcoming in-person classes with Ann by calling (936) 633-0629.

Volunteer opportunity!

ACCHD is in need of dedicated, compassionate volunteers to guide and support individuals in need. No two days will be the same as the role is dependent on the specific needs of the health district and the community you're serving.

This is an incredibly rewarding experience that can make a direct impact on our neighbors, and we encourage you to take advantage of the opportunity. Visit https://www.acchd.us/home/careers/ to read more and download an application.
