It is with heavy hearts that we have learned that last night, our town lost someone many of us knew—Billy.
Billy wasn’t perfect. He struggled. He made mistakes.
But if you knew him, you know that wasn’t his whole story.
He was kind. He was gentle. He would stop and talk, smile, and he was always willing to work for a few dollars if given the chance. Billy was a man of dignity—he always found a way to return kindness. He didn’t have much, but he had a good heart—and that matters.
Billy was hit while riding his bicycle last night, and sadly, he didn’t make it.
I’m asking our local businesses and community to come together to honor him in a way that reflects who he really was.
💙 Put out a drink or snack for someone who needs it
💙 Offer a small job to someone trying to earn a few dollars
💙 Show a little extra kindness to someone who might be struggling
💙 Tie a blue ribbon or bow outside your business to show he’s remembered
Let’s paint the town blue for Billy.
Let’s remember Billy not for his worst moments—but for his heart.
If you knew him, share a memory below.
Let’s show that he mattered.
💙
If anyone would like to contribute towards his expenses, you can do so directly with Revels Funeral Home of Pembroke.
Please keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers in the coming days as they adjust to life without his sweet smile.
Billy,
Your LBHS Girls love you and we’ll sure miss you!!
