🏐 Conversations are a lot like a game of volleyball!💬

One of the most important social skills we teach is conversational turn-taking—knowing when to talk, when to listen, and how to keep a conversation going.

Our favorite way to practice? A simple game of Conversation Volleyball!

Here's how it works:
🏐 Don't throw the ball out of bounds (stay on topic!)
🙌 Don't let the ball drop (keep the conversation going!)
🗣️ You can only talk when the ball is in your hands (take turns speaking and listening.)

This fun activity helps children learn that great conversations are a back-and-forth exchange. Just like volleyball, both people have to participate to keep the "game" going!

By turning social skills into engaging games, children practice important concepts like:
✅ Waiting for their turn
✅ Active listening
✅ Staying on topic
✅ Asking and answering questions
✅ Building meaningful conversations and friendships
