🎉💰 There was plenty of excitement at Luverne Health & Rehabilitation during our Penny Auction!

Our residents had a wonderful time bidding on prizes, cheering each other on, and enjoying an afternoon filled with laughter, friendly competition, and lots of smiles. It was a fantastic activity that brought everyone together for an afternoon of fun and fellowship.

A special thank you to LHC for helping make these events so enjoyable for our residents. We truly appreciate your continued partnership!

The best part? Our residents are already counting down the days until the next Penny Auction on August 21st at 2:00 PM with LHC!

A big thank you to Joann Mathews, Volunteer Coordinator with Southern Care Hospice, for helping us get into the football spirit by decorating our beautiful lobby tree this month!

Our residents love spending time in the waiting area admiring the festive display, and it has brought so much joy and excitement as we look forward to another football season.

🎉💙 Congratulations to Our July Employee of the Month! 💙🎉

Please join us in congratulating our July Employee of the Month, Carrie Smith, RN!

Since joining the Luverne Health & Rehabilitation family in October 2025, Carrie has been an outstanding leader and caregiver. She began as Unit Manager for Hall 2 and Walker Lane before transitioning to Hall 3 in December 2025, where she continues to make a positive impact every day.

Originally from upstate New York, Carrie made Brantley her home in November 2024. With an incredible 31 years of nursing experience in Med-Surg, Oncology, and Wound Care, she brings a wealth of knowledge, compassion, and dedication to our residents and team.

Outside of work, Carrie is a proud mother of two daughters, grandmother to one granddaughter, eagerly awaiting the arrival of her grandson this October, and a great-grandmother as well.

Carrie’s caring heart, positive attitude, and genuine compassion for everyone she encounters make her truly deserving of this recognition. We are thankful to have her as part of the Luverne family and appreciate the exceptional care she provides each day.

Congratulations, Carrie, on this well-deserved honor! Thank you for your commitment to our residents and your fellow team members.
