ValOptical ValOptical has been family-owned and operated since 1990. The owner, Dominic Fornaro, is a licensed NY state optician.

Eye exams for prescription glasses and contact lens + fittings are available by appointment (516) 887-4880. Many designer brands of eyeglasses and sun glasses are available, including Michael Kors, Fendi, Marc Jacobs, Ray-Ban, Nike, CK and Salvatore Ferragamo. Independent brands including ProDesign and Marius Morel are also available.

Since opening ValOptical in 1990, Dominic has poured more than 35 years of hard work, care, and pride into this little shop.

Dom loves what he does, and it shows in the way he works with every customer. He has a great eye for finding the right fit, takes the time to listen, and always wants people to leave feeling good about their glasses and their experience.

Over the years, many customers have become familiar faces and longtime friends. Some who first came in decades ago now bring their children and grandchildren to the store. That kind of loyalty is something Dom never takes for granted.

We’re so grateful to everyone who has supported ValOptical, trusted Dom, and allowed him to do what he loves for all these years. 💙
