🎨 A Creative Visit to the Daura Museum of Art

Residents recently enjoyed a guided tour of the Daura Museum of Art at the University of Lynchburg with local artist Laura Reed Howell.

Guests explored Laura’s beautiful watercolor, acrylic, and oil paintings while learning about her artistic journey and the inspiration behind her work. The exhibit also featured pieces by the late Georgia Weston Morgan, celebrating the creativity and talent of two local artists.

A Musical Celebration to Remember 🎶

Westminster Canterbury residents enjoyed a wonderful evening with the Jefferson Chamber Ensemble, a fifteen-member traveling group from the Jefferson Choral Society. The ensemble performed a delightful mix of show tunes, patriotic favorites, and gospel selections.

The concert ended with a joyful sing-along celebrating America’s 250th birthday and the lasting connection music brings to our community. 🇺🇸

📖 Discovering the Lives and Legacies of Central Virginia

Thank you to our residents, Dr. Dorothy Bundy Potter and Dr. Clifton Potter, co-editors and contributing authors of "A Good and Pleasant Company: Lives and Legacies of Central Virginia, 1776–2026", for an engaging and insightful discussion.

Residents enjoyed learning about the people, stories, and milestones that have shaped Central Virginia over the past 250 years. The presentation offered a meaningful look at our region's rich history and the legacy that continues to inspire future generations.
