This past Friday, our very own Co-owner, Chf. Training Officer & Gang Consultant, Alvis Williams graduated from Regent University with a Master's Degree in Human Services concentration in Trauma & Crisis Counseling. Sometimes I have to remind myself to slow down and celebrate the blessings in my life—because tomorrow is never promised.

Since starting Youth Elevation, I’ve been so focused on moving forward and helping others that I rarely pause to recognize the milestones along the way. In fact, I realized that I never even shared with many of my family and friends that I completed my second master’s degree this past December. Now I have become a Resident in Counseling!

Every day I have the privilege of supporting and caring for so many people, providing jobs, supporting local charities, and serving on multiple community teams. I don’t do any of it for recognition—I do it because I genuinely love what I do, who I am, and the people around me.

But today I’m reminding myself (and anyone else who needs to hear it):

Take a moment to celebrate yourself. Give yourself some flowers. You’ve earned them. 🌱💐
