A Little Tarot Talk In Honor of Christian Benito
Today I helped Patricia and Mark set up for Christian’s Celebration of Life. As we were putting things together, Patricia told me that she had brought Christian’s Tarot cards because that kid had a passion for Tarot, and I was lucky enough to be his Tarot teacher.
I cannot tell you what a joy it was to have him in that class. He was so inquisitive, so intelligent. He had an incredibly unique perspective on things. And, of course, like his mom, he was a medium.
Patricia asked me to pull some cards to place on the table with his urn. I asked Christian, in spirit, to help me choose them.
After I pulled the first few cards, I told Patricia that I thought we should also choose cards to represent the members of his family. When I told her which cards came to mind for me, she started telling me which cards had always represented different members of her family to her.
And I thought that was so interesting that, of course, I had to use it.
So this became A Little Tarot Talk. A little reading. A combination of my interpretation, Patricia’s connection to these cards, and what I believe Christian wanted to say through them.
