Treating my own elbow with SoftWave TRT

After 3 sessions, 70-80% improvement in the inner elbow pain! Sleeping without pain and being able to rest it on my desk are huuuuge for me!

Incorporating some other soft tissue work and strengthening of the elbow/wrist/shoulder are going to be important as well! Working on that now too!

(I swear I have more shirts than the navy blue…. Believe it or not, every video here is from a different day/week and coincidentally I’m wearing the same shirt in each 😂)

“The doctor says I have the worst arthritis he’s ever seen”

This is one of the most frustrating and over-used quotes in the history of medicine…

My response to this is usually “So what? Do you have wrinkles? Do they hurt?”

Because that is what arthritis should be compared to: wrinkles on the inside… it’s a normal aging process that can be affected by many, many variables. Some people have more and some people have less. And just because you have it (which nearly everyone over 50 has some degree), doesn’t mean you have to have pain! We’ve seen plenty of “the worst X-rays ever” of people with ZERO pain, and plenty with relatively minimal or no arthritis who have TERRIBLE pain.

But those who do have pain should never rush into surgery as indicated in the first slide. There are SO many ways to get yourself better.

At SOPT we look at you as a whole person, develop a plan for your goals and success, and start implementation at your first visit.

Your plan might include the use of dry needling, which has single-handedly changed the way I approach treatment of arthritic knees, hips, and shoulders (among others).
