Northeast Sled Hockey League, Inc. The NESHL is a non-profit 501c3 organization established in 2005 as a means for regional Sled Hockey teams to engage in competitive, sportsmanlike hockey.

We are the first-ever organized, multi-state, co-ed sled hockey league in the U.S. Founded in 2005, the NESHL is the first-ever organized, multi-state, adult sled hockey league in the United States. We are the largest sled hockey league in the United States and we are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our disabled athletes range from Maine to Ohio (and many points in between), and we play from S

eptember to March each year. Year-round, we work to promote the awareness of Sled Hockey and support people with disabilities. Playing on a NESHL team is life-changing—our athletes gain independence, confidence, and a positive attitude as well as improving their physical fitness. Approx. 20% of our athletes are Veterans most of whom have recently been injured while serving our Country.

We hope everyone is enjoying their summer!

The NESHL would like to ask if anyone is interested in joining our Roster and Waiver Committee for the 2026-2027 Season. This Committee discusses and approves all team/player Waiver requests and submitted Team Rosters.

Roughly this will require weekly Monday meetings starting in the middle of August and running until the end of Sept. There will also be emails that participants will need to respond to.
