Back and bi day

6 exercises
10 reps (heavy)
4 sets

Such a good sore the next day!

These exercises also help you with your pull-up game!

Hammer curls , cable curl, lat pull, single arm curls, standing pulldown, single arm row.

The unilateral work is legit!

Training one side at a time is beneficial as it forces limbs to work independently, eliminating compensation from your dominant side.

Unilateral training also improves core strength , stability and proprioception.

Save this for your next pull day!

Me and the air bike, having our weekly toxic relationship check-in!

Funny how we hate the things that are actually good for us.

If it’s hard, if it makes you feel like you suck at it... that’s usually exactly the thing you need more of.

Air bike is undefeated but I keep showing up anyway.

Speaking of challenging training sessions…

Nobody’s ever regretted staying strong.

Plenty of people regret waiting until it was harder to start.

Your future self is either going to thank you or curse you, you decide which.

I’m keeping it short and sweet in this reel today

Pull-ups aren’t just an arm thing

If you’re stuck at zero, it’s not because your arms are weak. It’s because pull-ups need your whole body working together, and most people never train the parts nobody talks about:

Grip strength — your hands give out before your back even gets tired

Core — if it’s loose, your legs swing and your hips shift, and all that movement leaks force that should be going into the pull

Shoulder blades and shoulder stabilization — you have to pull your shoulder blades down and back and keep the joint stable before your lats can do anything. Most people skip this completely

Knowing how to organize your body under tension — that’s a skill on its own

Train those and the pull-up gets a lot closer, even before your back and arms get stronger

Stop blaming your arms. Train the whole system.

Okay so the last few weeks… not my finest.

A few months ago I got sick, then somehow injured myself on top of that.

Since then-Motivation gone!

I’d be lying if I said my workouts have been anything close to good lately.

But here’s the thing, I still show up.

Not every day, not at full capacity, not even close.

Some days I basically just show up, do the bare minimum and go home.

That’s OK!

I think we put so much pressure on ourselves to be “on” all the time.

To train hard, eat perfect, sleep 8 hours, etc.

Unfortunately life doesn’t care about your program. It will derail you and it won’t apologize.

So if you’re coming back from being sick, an injury, or just a really rough patch mentally this is your sign.

You don’t have to be at your best to show up.

You just have to show up.

The less motivated version of yourself still beats no version at all.
