Join us for our Online Family Speaker Series with Shelley Anderson, MT-BC, Chief Operations Officer, Assistive Technology Specialist, LAMP Certified, and Certified Lingraphica Technology Specialist. Join us for a practical, active session designed to take the guesswork out of using AAC in your busy daily life. You don’t need hours of extra time; you just need a plan.

In this virtual workshop, we will break down strategies to easily fit communication into routines you’re already doing. Through practice videos and live participation, you will build the confidence to become the expert your loved one needs! Bring your AAC device and let’s practice together!

Let’s all take a breath and enjoy a little bit of a quieter week! 😌

Speech starts next week, and GiGi U doesn’t kick off until September 16th, so we’re going to enjoy this welcome break in the action while we can! ❤️ The only things happening this week are Speech Orientation and GiGiFIT.

A little slower pace, a little time to recharge, and then we’ll be back at it before we know it! 💙💛

For the second time in just one month, Pastor Bobby Sheets graciously joined us for a grief support session at the Playhouse. GiGi U Immersion Week continued yesterday with an Indoor Camping Day! 🏕️🔥

We made s’mores, built blanket forts, enjoyed hot dogs and brats fresh off the grill, and even played flashlight tag! 🔦🌭

It was a day full of fun, laughter, and great memories. We can’t wait to see what the rest of Immersion Week has in store! ❤️

Yesterday was an absolute blast at Lockwood Park - Rockford Park District and the Perks Family Equine Center! 🐴❤️

There’s just something special about animals and the wonderful effect they can have on people. We loved spending the day surrounded by these amazing animals, making memories, and soaking up all the joy they brought with them. 🥰

A huge thank you to Perks for welcoming us and giving our participants such a fun and memorable experience! We can’t wait to do it again! ❤️

Our Executive Director, Karen Carlson, was thrilled to have the opportunity to visit the new GiGi's Playhouse - Madison on Monday. The Madison Executive Director, Kelly Antonson, graciously gave Robin Lea-Amos (formerly of the Phoenix Playhouse) and myself a private tour, despite the fact that she was only 9 days from their grand opening. Can't wait to show you the finished product after the opening. So proud of our friends in Madison!

Language Music N’ Our Peeps (LMNOP) is an interactive and engaging program designed to help parents and young children learn basic sign language and other forms of communication through fun, music- and language-based activities. 👐🎵

They hosted a lemonade stand and generously donated the profits ($700!) to our Playhouse! 🍋💰 What a sweet way to support the place that means so much to so many of our families.
