Their work goes beyond clinical care. They build relationships, honor military service, and help our residents live with dignity and purpose.

We’re catching up on sharing some recent fun! In the last week of March, we had Cabin Fever Week. ☀️

Each day had a new theme, including Sports Day, Hawaiian Day 🌺, Western Day 🤠, Twin & PJ Day, and Patriotic/MVH Day.

Residents and staff had a great time enjoying pizza making, sip-and-paint, smoothie drinks, and a delicious BBQ. It was a wonderful week, and we are grateful to those who made it possible and all who particpated! 🙌

🎶🐣 Students from Connections Home School visited us in Apirl to share some beautiful Easter songs. Our residents enjoyed the music and loved spending time with them.

This National Volunteer Week, we’re proud to recognize the incredible volunteers who help make our Machias Home feel so special.

We’re especially grateful for familiar faces like Kathy Stanwood, John & Christine Carey—who have been part of our Home for many years—and Lisa King, who returned to volunteer after retiring as our social worker. Together, they are our “Fab 4,” and their dedication means so much to our residents and team.

Through simple moments—sharing time, offering support, and building relationships—they bring connection, comfort, and a true sense of community into our Home.
