🥩🥧 Tuscan Lodge 106 treated our residents to a wonderful Father's Day cookout! They prepared and served a delicious meal of steak, kabobs, baked potatoes, salad, blueberry pie, apple pie, and ice cream. Even more special, was the time they spent visiting.

On June 13, our residents had a fantastic time attending the 27th Annual Children's Fishing Derby at Cobscook Bay State Park. Hosted by Cobscook Bay State Park, Friends of Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge, the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife, and Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge, this annual event brings families together for a morning of fishing, fun, and time outdoors.

We enjoyed cheering on the young anglers as they reeled in their catches, sharing a delicious hot dog lunch, and spending time with our community in such a beautiful setting.

Thank you to everyone who organized this wonderful tradition and welcomed us once again. We look forward to this special event every year! 💙

💙 Thank you to Jinny and William Clifton!

On Thursday, Jinny stopped by our Home to present a check for more than $2,500 raised through the inaugural Downeast Dash, benefiting our Resident Activity Fund.

Jinny's grandmother was once a resident here, and Jinny also volunteered here during her college years. Organizing the Downeast Dash was her way of saying thank you for the care and compassion shown to someone so special to her.

After months of planning, Jinny and William organized 45 runners and walkers to for a 1-mile/5K event that started and ended in our parking lot. Our residents had front-row seats, cheering on participants before joining everyone for a celebratory luncheon.

Jinny and William, your kindness will help make many more memorable moments possible. ❤️

The National Association of Health Care Assistants (NAHCA) has chosen the theme "We're Unbelievable" for CNA Week 2026, and we couldn't agree more.
Pictured here are some of the outstanding CNAs and PSSs who help make our Home a special place. These dedicated caregivers are often the first to greet our residents in the morning and the last to wish them goodnight. They build meaningful relationships that enrich the lives of the Veterans we are honored to serve.
