COVID-19 business update:
Summit View Dental Services (Mackay, ID) will continue to provide urgently needed dental care throughout the COVID-19 outbreak. Care that is less urgent (dental hygiene, for example) will be postponed until it is safer to conduct elective treatment without placing people needlessly at risk. Our treatment practices are aligned with the recommendations of all relevant federal and state governing entities. We will maintain compliance with recommended best practices. We will continue to care for our patients and look forward to fully resuming our full spectrum of dental services as soon as it is believed to be safe to do so. We remain committed to helping with urgent dental needs to the best of our ability. If you have an urgent dental problem, please call our office at (208) 588-3316. We will be checking the messages each weekday, at least. If you have any questions about treatment that has already been scheduled, please call. Some of our patients have urgent treatment needs with appointments already in place. Many of those procedures are still able to be completed. We will be contacting you to help you know if your care can be completed as planned, or if delaying certain aspects of your care is indicated.
Anyone with any symptoms of illness will need to delay an in-office visit. No one with a fever or symptoms of illness should come to the dental office for any reason. Communicate via the telephone. Payments and scheduling concerns can be done over the phone. If you do have an appointment, DO NOT bring anyone else with you. No one will be permitted to wait in our waiting room. If a child has an appointment, only one adult may accompany the child. We must reasonably minimize all chances of exposure to each other.
I appreciate you, my patients and friends, very much. This situation is hard of all of us in many ways. Support each other (from a distance, of course...). Make sure that no addressable need goes unmet. People helping people in desperate times is one of the most beautiful aspects of humanity. Keep focused on positive things. For every bad thing, there are dozens of great things happening. When things get tough, look for the helpers amidst the chaos. They are always there. The example of their compassion is inspirational. Be one of them.
Thank you. Hang in there. We will get through this. We can control our attitudes, our actions, and our hearts. Leave the rest to the big guy upstairs.
