Here are some great photos that truly capture all that goes into making a patient transport successful. It starts long before the patient arrives at the helicopter; it starts with the first responders on scene.
We’d like to thank Lifeguard EMS for the call as well as Macomb Fire for teamwork today, as they brought a patient to our pad to be rapidly transported to a definitive care center.
Also thanks to our friends over at MDH for being in the right place at the right time and catching us in action and sending these our way!

At today’s base safety meeting we discussed stretcher safety and how to prevent drops, tips, and all sorts of stuff you don’t want to happen. Huge thanks to Lifeguard Ambulance Service of Illinois for helping out with the training today!
We had a great time reviewing these important concepts, racing around the course, and of course meeting the infamous badger from the McDonough County 911 Communication Center, Hector, and giving him a tour of the aircraft! Hope you’re doing alright after that…incident 🫣

Happy EMS Week to the most incredible team at Air Evac 144! Every single day, this amazing team goes above and beyond to provide compassion, care, and support to those in need. What makes this team so special is not only the outstanding care you provide for every patient, but also the teamwork and support you show to one another every day.

No matter the call, the challenge, or the long hours, you continue to step up for each other and for the communities we proudly serve. Happy Nurses Week!

This week we celebrate the hard work and unwavering dedication our flight nurses bring to every transport. Our nurses bring years of experience to the team and are always working to learn and stay up to date on the latest in transport and critical care medicine.
We are grateful for the team that we have here at 144 and want to wish everyone out there a happy Nurses Week!!

🚁PARAMEDIC OF THE MONTH🚁

Join us in congratulating flight medic, Ryleigh Clark, on receiving the award of Air Evac Lifeteam’s Paramedic of the Month for the Northeast Region!

Although Ryleigh has only been with us since November, he’s proved himself quickly as an outstanding clinician! This award is reserved for a clinician who not only meets, but exceeds the expectations of a flight clinician for both clinical and interpersonal skills. This is not an award typically given to somebody after 4 months, but Ryleigh proved that he has what it takes!

Presenting him with his award is his partner and BCL nurse Scott.

Today we celebrate World Pilot’s Day and want recognize our AEL 144 pilots: Mike, Branden, and Mark!

Our pilots make what we do possible. We, quite literally, could not do it without them!

As a vital part of our team, our pilots work day in and day out ensuring our transports are completed safely and speedily. Their hard work and dedication to our patients is something worth celebrating!!
