As we get ready to welcome National Immunization Awareness Month in August, it's a good reminder that vaccines aren't just for kids heading back to school. Adults benefit from staying up to date, too.

As we get older, the vaccines we need can change.

Depending on your age, health, lifestyle, and medical history, you may be due for a flu shot, shingles vaccine, tetanus booster, pneumonia vaccine, or other recommended immunizations.

Not sure where you stand? Ask us at your next appointment. We'll review your vaccination history, answer your questions, and help you stay protected all year long.

As summer starts winding down, it's a great time to check in with yourself.

💦 Are you staying hydrated?
🕺 Finding a few minutes to move each day?
😴 Getting enough rest?

Healthy habits don't have to be all or nothing. A few small choices each day can help you feel better now and make it easier to carry those habits into the next season.

What's one healthy habit you've been focusing on? 👀

As we get ready to close out July, we want to recognize National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month and a conversation that matters all year long.

The observance was established in 2008 in honor of Bebe Moore Campbell, an author, journalist, teacher, and mental health advocate who worked to bring greater attention to the mental health needs of minority communities. Her advocacy helped bring conversations about stigma, access to care, and culturally responsive mental health support into the national spotlight.

Black, Indigenous, and People of Color can face unique challenges when it comes to mental health, including stigma, cultural barriers, and difficulty finding care that respects and reflects their experiences.

Mental health is part of your overall health, and talking about how you're feeling should be just as normal as talking about your blood pressure, sleep, medications, or any other concern with your healthcare provider.

Awareness months may come to an end, but caring for your mental and emotional well being shouldn't. If something hasn't felt quite right lately, consider bringing it up at your next appointment. You don't have to wait until you're struggling to start the conversation. ❤

Be honest... which one are you?

If you're on Team "I only go when something's wrong," consider this your gentle reminder that regular checkups matter, even when you're feeling perfectly fine.

Routine visits give us a chance to keep an eye on your overall health, stay current on recommended screenings, discuss any changes or concerns, and catch potential problems earlier.

So if it's been a while since your last checkup, maybe it's time to get one on the calendar. Your future self will be glad you did! 💙

Feeling like yourself less often? Your hormones could be part of the story.

Many changes that come with aging are easy to dismiss as "just getting older," but for some people, hormone imbalances may play a role.

We offer Compounded Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) for patients who may benefit from a personalized approach to hormone therapy.

Unlike standard, one size fits all treatments, compounded BHRT is prepared by specialized compounding pharmacies and customized to your individual hormone needs. Depending on your treatment plan, therapy may be available as:

📌 Pellet therapy
📌 Creams
📌 Oral medication

If you've been experiencing symptoms that you think could be related to hormone changes, talk with one of our providers. We'll discuss your symptoms, answer your questions, and determine whether BHRT may be an appropriate option for you.
