As I reflected on this petition, β€œDeliver us from evil,” I was reminded of a beautiful example of how God often works through the ordinary moments of our day.

Before I begin caring for patients, I have a habit of quietly praying in the room where I will be receiving them. I ask the Lord to surround the patient, their family, and the healthcare team with His protection. I pray that He grants wisdom, compassionate hearts, respectful communication, and a safe recovery.

This past week, one of my coworkers saw me praying and asked if I would also pray in the room where she would soon be receiving her patient. We prayed together and entrusted that patient into God’s loving care.

A little while later, as she was helping the patient’s mother with her belongings, she noticed one of the bags was surprisingly heavy. She kindly asked what was inside.

The mother smiled and said, β€œIt’s my Bible.”

That opened the door for my coworker to share that, before her loved one had even arrived, we had prayed over that very room for God’s protection, for a safe recovery, and for compassionate care.

The mother’s eyes filled with tears. She was deeply touched to know that complete strangers had already lifted her family up in prayer.

It may seem like a small moment, but it was a beautiful reminder that God is always at work.

Not every answer to prayer comes in extraordinary ways. Sometimes He reveals His presence through a conversation, an unexpected connection, or a simple act of kindness that arrives exactly when someone needs it most.

Never underestimate the power of prayer.

Even the quiet prayers whispered before a workday, before a difficult conversation, or before walking into an unknown situation can become instruments of God’s grace.

May we continue to pray for His protection each day, asking our Guardian Angel to walk beside us and Saint Michael the Archangel to defend us in every spiritual battle. And may we trust that, whether we see it or not, God is already preparing the way before us.

β€œBut deliver us from evil.” Amen.

As we welcome the month of August, let us also welcome the gift of a renewed heart. 🌿

A new month is a beautiful opportunity to lay down anything we have been carrying that no longer serves our relationship with God or with others.

Perhaps there is someone you have struggled to forgive.
Perhaps it is yourself.

Forgiveness does not mean that what happened was acceptable or that the hurt disappears overnight. Rather, it is the decision to place the wound into Christ’s loving hands, allowing Him to begin the healing that only He can accomplish.

As we prepare our hearts this month, let us ask the Lord to gently reveal anything that still needs to be surrendered resentment, bitterness, guilt, regret, or pain. The lighter our hearts become, the more room there is for His peace, His joy, and His love.

May August be a month of healing, renewal, and grace.

β€œForgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.”

I pray that God blesses you and your loved ones throughout this new month, filling your hearts with His mercy and leading you one step closer to Him each day.

One prayer that has been helping me surrender more deeply to God’s will is the Surrender Novena.

There are situations in life where our hearts naturally want to hold on to worry, to search for answers, or to try to fix everything ourselves. Letting go isn’t always easy, especially when we deeply care about the outcome.

The Surrender Novena has gently reminded me that surrender is not giving up. It is choosing, day by day, to place our trust into the loving hands of Jesus and believing that He sees what we cannot.

If you find yourself carrying a burden that feels too heavy, or if you’re praying through a difficult season, perhaps this novena may bring you the same peace and comfort it has been bringing me.

One of its most beautiful invitations is simply:

β€œJesus, I surrender myself to You; take care of everything.”

May we all continue learning to pray, not only with our lips, but with hearts that truly desire to say,

β€œThy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.”

May God grant you the grace to trust Him a little more today than yesterday, and may His peace fill every place where worry once tried to dwell. πŸ’œπŸ’œ

This Angel Whisper reminds me that being a healing presence extends far beyond the bedside. Every day, God places people in our path who may be carrying burdens we cannot see. Sometimes He simply asks us to be present, to listen with compassion, to offer a kind word, to encourage, to pray, or to sit quietly with someone in their pain.

Journey Through the Our Father

Over the coming days, we will take a prayerful journey through the 𝑢𝒖𝒓 𝑭𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓, reflecting on each petition one at a time.

Although many of us know this prayer by heart, slowing down allows us to better understand what each part means and how it can speak into our daily lives. My hope is that these reflections will help us pray the Our Father with greater intention, deeper trust, and a more personal connection to God.

You are warmly invited to share your own reflections along the way. A word or phrase may touch each heart differently, and your insight may be exactly what someone else needs to hear. πŸ™πŸ’–

Let the Father lead you as His beloved child.

St. Padre Pio was right: worry is a thief. It steals our joy, our peace, and our time, yet it accomplishes nothing.

Instead, let us lay our burdens at the foot of the Cross and ask God for the strength, endurance, patience, and wisdom to face whatever lies before us.

There are many days when I quietly pray throughout my workday to remain calm and compassionate, especially when caring for patients who may be fearful or resistant to their care. I ask God to help me communicate with kindness and respect so they can understand that everything I do is meant to keep them safe and support the best possible outcome. Prayer also helps me see each situation through their eyes, opening the door to greater understanding and cooperation. I truly believe I could not do this without God’s grace and spiritual guidance.

Whatever challenges you may be facing today, I pray that the Lord grants you His peace, strengthens your heart, and gives you the courage to persevere. He is listening, He is with you, and He will never leave your side.
