Miles reminds us every day how important pets can be for comfort, connection, laughter, and emotional well-being. Animals are often part of the family, and their unconditional love can make hard days feel a little lighter.

That’s why we’re excited to introduce our staff sidekicks! ✨

Each week, we’ll feature a different staff member’s pet and share a little about them.

Mindfulness doesn’t have to be complicated. It doesn’t require long periods of silence or perfect focus. For kids especially, it can be playful, simple, and even a little silly.

Sometimes, having a small “guide” or activity to follow makes it easier for them to slow down and connect with their bodies.

🧸 Try Stuffed Animal Breathing:
Have your child lie down and place their favorite stuffed animal on their belly.

➡️ As they breathe in, watch the stuffed animal rise
➡️ As they breathe out, watch it fall

Encourage slow, gentle breaths and see how calm and steady they can make their stuffed animal move.

This simple exercise helps kids:
✨ Slow their breathing
✨ Relax their body
✨ Build awareness of their feelings
