Residents gathered for a meaningful Memorial Day tribute featuring a 21-gun salute, military medals, patriotic reflections, and heartfelt remembrance. We are forever grateful for the courage, service, and sacrifice of our fallen heroes.

Mark and Pete had everyone sitting back, relaxing, and singing along to classic hits, while Theo brought the smooth sounds of Motown the following day. 🌸☀️ Perfect planting weather called for getting our hands dirty at Independence Village of Madison Heights! Our Gardening Club officially kicked off the first planting of the season with beautiful petunias, bright geraniums, and colorful zinnias. Residents enjoyed sunshine, fresh air, and the excitement of watching our gardens come to life!

We celebrated Cinco de Mayo in style! Our taco nacho bar was a hit, paired perfectly with refreshing margaritas! Residents had a blast playing Pin the Tail on the Donkey, Guess the Peppers, and took turns smashing a piñata full of goodies, and finally kept the laughs going with lots of silly knock-knock jokes. Fun was truly had by all!

🏇🌹 We celebrated the Kentucky Derby in style with fabulous hats, festive fun, and refreshing watermelon juleps! Residents enjoyed a lively (and challenging!) horse race game with several lucky winners crossing the finish line. It was a day full of laughter, friendly competition, and Derby-day spirit—so much fun all around!
