This week is Birth Trauma Awareness Week — a time to recognize the physical and emotional realities many birthing patients experience during and after childbirth.

For OB/GYN clinicians and educators, awareness is just the beginning. Identifying birth trauma, supporting recovery, and integrating trauma-informed care into practice are essential to better outcomes for patients and families.

The academic OB/GYN community plays a vital role in:
