Next in our Physician Spotlight Series is Dr. Brian Christie, MD, MPH.
Dr. Christie is a fellowship-trained hand and upper extremity surgeon who completed his training at Duke, the University of Wisconsin, Harvard, and Stanford. His practice focuses on trauma, arthritis, nerve injuries, and tendon and ligament disorders, with a particular interest in complex and revision surgery of the hand and upper extremity.
Outside of work, Dr. Christie enjoys time with his family, as well as time outdoors and is an avid fly fisherman. He loves snowboarding fresh powder, hiking and camping across Wisconsin and beyond, and getting talked into the occasional pickleball match. He's also happiest at the grill, smoking and cooking up something good for friends and family.
Global health is another lifelong passion. Dr. Christie travels regularly to East Africa, partnering on patient care and education across Kenya, Burundi, and Rwanda. He also serves as a lead organizer of The Union Summit, an international conference dedicated to advancing surgical care in underserved communities worldwide.
