Therapy can look soooo many different ways depending on each individual client and their needs.

Different relational approaches doesn’t mean unethical.

Therapy approaches you don’t like doesn’t mean unethical.

Behaving in ways that compromises the client’s privacy, treatment, and safety IS unethical.

I know talking about income as a therapist can make people feel uncomfortable.

And I believe it’s so important to talk about income transparency in all fields, and especially in women dominated fields.

I want other therapists to know they don’t have to struggle. They don’t have to sacrifice their own health to support others. And if we are being honest, if we aren’t healthy our work often reflects that.

You can be a woman and want money. You can be a therapist and want money. You can want to help people and also want to be paid a living wage.

Deeply caring about mental health and also wanting to make enough money to not have to sacrifice your own are not mutually exclusive.
