The calendar may say September, but South Mississippi definitely hasn’t gotten the memo. ☀️🥵

Whether you’re working outdoors, practicing after school, mowing the yard or just running errands, hydration still matters.

Don’t wait until you’re extremely thirsty. Drink water throughout the day, take breaks from the heat when possible, and pay attention to signs that your body may be getting overheated.

Fall is coming... eventually. 😉
Until then, keep that water bottle close! 💧

💙 September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month

Here’s something every man... and every family who loves one should know:

Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers among American men and the second-leading cause of cancer death in men in the United States.

And here's what makes awareness so important: prostate cancer often causes no symptoms in its early stages.

This month, we're encouraging men to learn their risk, know their family history and have the conversation about prostate health with their healthcare provider.

Awareness is important.
Taking action is even better. 💙

Note: The American Cancer Society estimates about 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed during his lifetime.

School has been back in session for a few weeks, which means plenty of germs have had time to make the rounds. 🤧

Sore throats, coughs, fevers, stomach bugs and other illnesses can spread quickly through classrooms... and right back home to the rest of the family.
