Caravel Autism Health Caravel Autism Health helps young children with autism in Madison and surrounding areas through diagnosis and clinic-based ABA therapy. Better outcomes.

Our research-based programs build skills and connection. Evaluations offered in clinic or through telehealth. A leader in the field, Caravel Autism Health specializes in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of very young children with autism spectrum disorder. Our research-based, data-driven programs help these children build skills and embrace new ways of connecting with the world. Caravel offers autism diagnostic evaluations in clinic or through telehealth and provides applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy for children in a welcoming, clinic-based setting. Our services include autism testing, early intervention, communication and language skills, social skills, school readiness, daily living and self-help skills, toilet training, mealtime and eating support, support for reducing challenging behaviors and parent/caregiver training and coaching. Children receive one-to-one therapy in clinic alongside opportunities for peer interaction. When a skill is best learned in a real-world setting (for example, a morning routine at home, a trip to the grocery store, or a haircut or dental visit), our team works with each child in the places that matter most based on their individual treatment plan. Happier lives.

Morgan started college planning to become a physical therapist. Then came the biology requirement, and a suggestion from Mom, who was working at our Brookfield clinic at the time.

That led to a behavior technician role at our Wausau clinic. When COVID paused in-person services in 2020, Morgan was selected for a cohort to complete RBT coursework and earned the credential. From there came a senior intern role in Mequon, a promotion, grad school, and passing the BCBA exam. Today, Morgan is a BCBA II at Caravel.

Career paths here don't have to follow a straight line. Some teammates plan every step, and some find their way through a good piece of advice from someone who knows them well.

Our Rockford South team recently spent some time with local first responders, dropping off sensory kits they put together! πŸš“πŸš’

When first responders arrive, there's usually a lot happening at once. For people with autism or other sensory and communication needs, having a few supportive tools nearby can help make those moments a little easier.

Partnerships like this are some of our favorite things our clinic teams get to do. Thank you to the first responders who welcomed us and for everything you do for our community πŸ’™

Our team was in Belton, MO yesterday for the ceremonial signing of HB 1840, which carries two laws worth knowing about for the families we serve.

RJ's Law creates a Purple Alert System for finding people with developmental disabilities who go missing. It works alongside Amber and Silver Alerts, and it comes with required training so first responders know how to help someone who may not be able to tell them what they need.

Mason's Law creates a license plate designation for people who may have a hard time communicating with law enforcement. An officer running the plate gets a heads up before they ever walk up to the window. Parents and caregivers can apply for someone they care for.

Both of these exist because families pushed for them. A mom brought the Purple Alert idea to her state representative. Other families testified at hearing after hearing.

Missouri families, mark your calendar: Mason's Law applications open January 1, 2027.

Our Kansas City South grand opening was tonight, and we had such a good time showing everyone around alongside South KC Chamber.

Thank you to the families, teachers, pediatricians, and community partners who stopped by. It meant a lot to have you here.

If you couldn't make it, you're always welcome to reach out. We'd be happy to set up a time to show you the space and answer any questions about our services.

Today's the day! Our grand opening celebration is this afternoon from 4 to 5:30 pm at 11140 Locust Street for our newest clinic in MO, Kansas City South.

If you already RSVP'd, we can't wait to see you. If you didn't, please come anyway. RSVPs are not required and there's plenty of room. Stop by whenever works for you in that window.

Tour the clinic, meet our team, and ask us anything about evaluations, ABA therapy, or how we support families here in Kansas City. Whether you're a parent, a teacher, a pediatrician, or just curious about what we do, you're welcome.

We and the South KC Chamber hope to see you this afternoon!

School started last week in some of our communities. In others, today's the first day, and some of the kids heading through those doors are recent Caravel graduates.

Getting there took a long time. Sitting with a group. Waiting for a turn. Asking an adult who isn't a parent for help. Handling a room with a lot going on in it. Those were built one session at a time, with a classroom in mind the whole way.

To the families, you did the follow-through. At home, on weekends, on the days it felt slow. That's the part that made it stick.

To our graduates, have a great first day. We're glad we got to be part of it.

Happy Labor Day! Our clinics are closed today, so we're letting the Iowa City team do the talking. They shared why they love working at Caravel: family treatment guidance (caregiver collaboration), building rapport with the children they work with, awesome BCBAs, and a whole lot of people who clearly enjoy each other.

To all our teammates, thanks for the work you do. Enjoy the day off.
