Around the table, memories of campfires, family vacations, and favorite outdoor adventures sparked conversation and laughter as we celebrated the launch of our first Memory Café with Active Generations.

The theme, "Let's Go Camping!", encouraged participants to share stories, create sensory bottles, and connect with others who understand the challenges and realities of memory loss.

Memory Café is more than an activity. It's a place where individuals living with dementia or memory-related illnesses and their caregivers can find support, friendship, and a sense of belonging in a welcoming environment.

Seeing new connections form and hearing meaningful conversations unfold reminded us why community matters so much.

Recently, one of our newest residents joined a longtime resident for an afternoon of puzzling.

What made this moment even more special was the history they share. Having known one another for many years, they quickly picked up right where they left off, filling the room with conversation, memories, and laughter.

There is something special about breaking bread together.

For generations, sharing a meal has been one of the simplest and most meaningful ways to build relationships, strengthen friendships, and create a sense of belonging. Around our dining room tables, conversations are shared, laughter is heard, stories are remembered, and new memories are made.

🎶 Old songs, cherished memories, and lots of laughter!

Residents gathered for an afternoon of singing beloved classics that brought back memories and sparked conversation. To add a little extra fun, everyone was invited to make a silly face for the camera. The result? A wonderful mix of playful participation, smiles, and a couple of faces that said, "No, thank you!"

When Mikayla asked DeVonte to help move some large garbage bags, he thought he was coming to lend a helping hand. Instead, he was walking straight into an ambush. 😅

Hidden inside one of the bags was our Executive Director, Ashley, ready to deliver the scare of the year.

As soon as DeVonte bent down to pick it up... SURPRISE! 🎉

The scream? Legendary.
The laughter? Uncontrollable.
The memories? Absolutely worth it.
