What is Radiesse?

Radiesse + is a well-known injectable filler made of tiny calcium-based particles called calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) suspended in a smooth gel. Traditionally, it’s used to restore facial volume and contour.

But when it’s diluted with saline and lidocaine, Radiesse takes on a whole new purpose. Instead of acting like a filler to add volume, it becomes a biostimulatory agent—a treatment that signals your skin to rebuild itself.

How Does It Work — The Science

Hyperdilute Radiesse contains CaHA microspheres. These tiny, mineral-like particles are similar to substances found naturally in your bones and teeth.
When injected into the skin’s deeper layers, these microspheres act like a scaffold or framework.

Your body recognizes these particles as a foreign stimulus and responds by producing new collagen and elastin fibers around them.
Over time, this new collagen strengthens, thickens, and firms the skin, improving texture and elasticity.

As always, if you are receiving a prescription medication from our NP, we must see you every 90 days for a follow-up. Please get scheduled for your follow-up at least 2 weeks before you are out of medication to give the pharmacy time to fill and ship your medication.

A new year or new services dictates renewed medical clearance for any active procedures done at Rejuvenation Skin Care. If one of our NPs has not renewed your medical clearance for 2026, you will be required to see them before you can receive ANY active procedure. Medical clearance is for your health and safety and is provided at no cost. It only takes 15-20 minutes and can be done virtually for your convivence.
