The morning storms did not materialize, but multiple rounds of potentially severe thunderstorms are still expected through Thursday. The timeframes of highest confidence for severe weather are this afternoon and Thursday afternoon. If any area misses out on the afternoon round, there is a higher chance for stronger evening storms. City of Madison Engineering reports multiple rounds of showers and storms are expected today. This afternoon there is potential for locally heavy rainfall and flash flooding.

Turn around, don't drown! Please do not drive through flooded roadways.
While the City is not under any current watches or advisories, please remain alert for Flash Flood warnings.

Flash flooding can occur anywhere throughout the City when the stormwater infrastructure cannot convey the amount of water that is falling.

Urban flash flooding is likely in historically flash flooded areas of the City.
Please refer to the City's historical street flooding map (https://tinyurl.com/4uduw7he) to identify other flood-prone locations, which include:
• E. Mifflin Street at N. Livingston Street
• E. Mifflin Street at N. Blount Street
• N. Third Street at E. Johnson Street
• Grand Canyon Drive at Odana Road
• N. Midvale Boulevard at University Avenue
• University Avenue at Highland Avenue
