Expecting a baby?

Here are a few tips to keep in mind as you prepare to parent:

1. Ask for help, especially if it's your first time parenting. Babies can be hard to prepare for -- having veteran parents and counselors at your side will make you feel like a pro.

2. Practice skin-to-skin contact. Both you and your baby's bodies and hearts will benefit from it!

3. Prioritize rest when you can. Peaceful nights of sleep may be hard to come by during the first months of parenting. However, making up lost sleep while the baby naps is always an option!

Our free specialized counselors are here to help you, no matter how you're feeling about pregnancy and parenthood. If you're interested, give us a call or just walk in.

Preparing for a pregnancy?

Here are a few key practices to keep you and your baby healthy throughout your pregnancy:

1. Aim for regular exercise - but it's okay to rest. A little bit of exercise can be exactly what you need to let go of some anxiety, and your baby and body will definitely appreicate it.

2. Try to avoid 'chemicals.' Specifically, toxins: alcohol, ni****ne, etc. as well as a few that are lesser-known.

3. Take your prenatal vitamins, ASAP! Some doctors even recommend beginning before a pregnancy is confirmed, if possible, since pregnancy tests only become reliable after around two weeks of crucial development.

Interested in talking more about your pregnancy? Give us a call to get set up with your FREE options counseling, or just walk in today.
