There's a new upcoming cohort for the Wisconsin Pyramid Model Infant/Toddler e-Modules with reflective coaching!

This course provides participants with access and support to engage in 21 hours of online e-Module interactive content and eight additional hours of online reflection guided by a reflective coach who will support individuals to self-assess, plan/implement strategies and practices in their infant and/or toddler classrooms.

Cohort 2 Dates:
Monday, Oct 5th, 2026 to Friday, January 8th, 2027
Participants must complete both the e-modules and the assigned reflections through online coaching. (self-paced with check-ins with coach)

As we continue to provide professional development opportunities on neurodiversity from varying aspects of IECMH, on Tuesday, August 25th, we are offering a look into neurodiverse families, and the caregiver-child dynamic.

About the Event:
This session explores how Promoting First Relationships (PFR) consultation strategies can be used to support and strengthen connections between families and their neurodiverse children. PFR is an evidence-based home visiting model rooted in attachment theory that takes a strengths-based approach to family support. Using unedited video footage as a reflective tool, PFR helps caregivers deepen their understanding of their child by enhancing their capacity to observe, interpret, and respond to their child's unique communications, cues, and behaviors. The session will open with a brief overview of the PFR theoretical framework and its supporting research, followed by an exploration of how PFR consultation strategies are particularly well-suited to meet the unique needs of families raising
neurodiverse children.

This event will be presented by IECMH expert Dr. Monica Oxford, Executive Director of the Barnard Center in Seattle, WA, and PFR Trainer, Kendall Appell.
