When people ask me what I hope to achieve with my podcast, I sum it up in one sentence: “To help people live a full, optimistic, vibrant, happy life—reducing suffering and developing resilience so they can say, unequivocally, ‘I’m here.’

I’ve spent 33 years hosting my nationally syndicated public radio show, Zorba Paster On Your Health, and it’s been an incredible journey sparking thoughtful, eng

aging conversations about health and wellness—without the clutter, chatter, or noise. With more than 45 years as a family physician, my experience as one of the lead physicians caring for His Holiness the Dalai Lama, my ongoing work mentoring medical students and residents at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, and my humanitarian medical work with Tibetan refugees, I’ve gained a unique perspective on modern health care. I strive to blend the science of Western medicine with the balance of holistic, integrative approaches to healing.

Doctors On Call kitchen and they have to stay overnight and the next picture shows the room. that they stay overnight when they’re in the hospital. Things have improved dramatically since I first created this humanitarian project about 15 years ago. The reduction in TB is dramatic when I started there were 25 to 35 patients on the board and now there’s only one and the province of TB in the community is trapped by 87%. it was a team effort and continues to be.

Arrived in Delhi last night today took a plane to Dharamsala to see Delek Hospital and review the zero TB project in kids that I helped start decade ago. We reduced a tuberculosis in the Nunneries monasteries and children’s schools by 87%. When we first started the project there were generally 25 people in the TB section of the hospital and now there’s only one patient. Incredibly successful shows you what a team effort can do. I’ll send photos tomorrow.

Food on the airplane started with a Negroni my drink of choice if I’m gonna have a cocktail. Next hot nuts, followed by spring salad with a sweet and sour dressing along with garbanzo beans. Next course was lamb korma with a vegetable dish made with sweet potatoes, Indian spices and something crunchy and wild rice on the side and after that, cut fruit because it was so full that I thought well it’s probably time to stop, well , eating Ill sent an update from India tomorrow.
