MPWC is happy to welcome and accept families of all shapes - whether it’s a two parent home, single parent home, grandparent or other caregiver. We recognize that the most important aspect of a child’s home life is that they are safe and cared for by a loving adult. We want you to know that whatever your family makeup looks like, you and your children are welcome here. Your pronouns will be respected, and your children’s will as well. We never want someone to feel scared to seek medical care because of their gender identity or sexual orientation. Happy pride month to all who celebrate in our community!

We were so happy to have the wonderful ladies from CASA of Jefferson County come for a visit and tour of MPWC and Caroline’s Corner! We work together with CASA to help make sure that kids going through the DCS system get appropriate medical care in a warm and welcoming environment. Dr. McRoberts recently bid on a painting at CASA’s annual fundraiser and it’s our second one hanging in the office. These paintings are done by students at Madison Junior High School in partnership with local artists. We are so happy to have their work on display. Look for them next time you come in!

We are so grateful to be bringing Autism diagnosis to our community in the near future as early intervention is key to best outcomes for children with Autism. PLEASE NOTE: Dr. McRoberts is currently enrolled in a 6mo advanced training program so these services are not available just yet to the entire practice.

As part of Dr. McRoberts’ Autism training in diagnosis, he is needing to practice a structured behavioral testing model called the STAT test.

It is an inperson test that takes about 15-20 min to complete. The testing is noninvasive and only looks at specific social interactions and behaviors.

He is looking for a volunteer that would be willing to participate as part of his practice in implementing this test. As this is a practice for administering the test, Dr. McRoberts is looking for a family and child with normal development between the ages of 19 to 21 months of age.


It would require videoing the participant and Dr. McRoberts, for review with the developmental training staff to determine the adequacy of the test and the administration. No part of the video or the test would be made public.

Dr. McRoberts would like to do the test at 4pm on Wednesday. Ideally, for full participation and accuracy, it is not recommended to perform the test during a normal schedule nap time or if the child is hungry.
