We started the day with a little relaxation, then things got competitive on the basketball court! Our very own cheerleaders kept the energy high while our players battled it out for the win!

Monday at The Paragon: Move, Groove & Make Some Memories!

We kicked off our Monday the best way we know how—with a little exercise to get those bodies moving and those smiles going! Then it was time for coffee and gospel music before settling in for a meaningful devotional with Mary.

After lunch, we welcomed our four-legged friend Dax for some much-loved Pet Therapy with Luann! A little bingo, a little more Rockin’ with Tonya, and plenty of moving and grooving kept us busy all afternoon!

We’ll wrap up the day with a relaxing courtyard social after dinner, soaking up this beautiful day and enjoying even better company.

A BIG thank-you to Mary for sharing her time and heart with us, and to Luann for bringing Dax to brighten our day!

Monday may be the start of the week, but around here, we know how to start it with a whole lot of FUN!

Meet Marian—better known around The Paragon as our newest “Huggie Bear”! 🐻❤️

Marian loves giving hugs almost as much as he loves getting them. In fact, he even had a shirt made that says, “Hug me, you’ll feel better.” And we couldn’t agree more! 🤗

A hug may be simple, but it can make a big difference. Hugs can lift your mood, reduce stress, ease loneliness, and remind us that we’re loved and connected. Sometimes, a hug is exactly what someone needs to turn their whole day around.

So if you see Huggie Bear Marian coming your way, don’t be surprised if you leave with a smile—and maybe a little extra love in your heart.

We’re so thankful for the warmth, kindness, and hugs Marian brings to The Paragon every single day. Keep spreading those hugs, Huggie Bear! 🤗🐻❤️

Senior Citizens Day just got a whole lot sweeter!

We celebrated with an Ice Cream Social complete with all the fixings, courtesy of Mackenzie and Mark with Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky! A HUGE thank you to them for the delicious sweet treat and for staying to visit and spend time with our residents. Your kindness means so much to us! ❤️

And because balance is everything at The Paragon, we worked it from both ends today—strength training, bingo, and a little extra leg strengthening to keep those muscles moving!

Then we’ll wrap up this Senior Citizens Day with Friday Movie Night after dinner, featuring “Baby Boom.” 🍿🎬

Sweet treats, strong legs, big smiles and great company… that’s a pretty sweet day at The Paragon! 💕

Golden Hearts & VIPs 🏆💛

It’s Senior Citizens Day, and today we celebrated some very special VIPs! Our residents honored one another with golden trophies and heartfelt words about what they love and appreciate in each other. There were beautiful speeches, teary eyes, big smiles, and so many meaningful compliments.

And the love didn’t stop with our residents—our staff joined in, too, taking time to celebrate and recognize the wonderful people they work alongside. 💛

Today was a beautiful reminder: when you see something beautiful in another person, tell them. You never know how your words might brighten someone’s day or turn a difficult day around.

One of the most meaningful days we’ve had at The Paragon, and I’m so grateful I had the pleasure of witnessing it. Today, we celebrated more than Senior Citizens Day—we celebrated each other. ❤️🏆

Bingo, Gospel & a Whole Lot of Joy!

We had the best time with Bingo and Gospel Music with Mark from Hospice and Palliative Care Western Kentucky!

Our residents will be the first to tell you—they’re always happy when Mark walks through the door for bingo, but they’re even happier when he sings!

Thank you, Mark, for spending time with us and sharing your music, your talent, and your heart. We’re always glad to have you at The Paragon!
