Larry Wayan Corneal, 79, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Tuesday June 9, 2026 at Baptist Health in Madisonville.
He was born on December 29, 1946, in Madisonville to the late Marion Corneal and Cora Weir Corneal.
Larry was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving his country during the Vietnam war. After his service, he worked at GE until his retirement. Larry was a proud to be a part of St. Jude and the ASPCA, where he donated regularly.
He is survived by his three sons, Trevor (Lorri) Corneal of Spring Hill, TN, Chris (Lindsay) Corneal of Dewitt, MI, and Kevin Corneal of Bloomington, IN; one sister, Paulette Smith-Cobb of Madisonville, KY; two brothers, Don Corneal of Madisonville, and Chester Corneal of Goodyear, AZ; and three granddaughters, Audrey Corneal, Audra Corneal, and Amelia Corneal.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday June 13, 2026, at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home – Madisonville Chapel with Pastor Mike Easley officiating. Burial will follow at a later date at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, KY.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the service time Saturday at the funeral home.

Eula Dale Johnson, 87, of Nebo, KY, passed away on Monday June 1, 2026, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville.
Eula was born on May 26, 1939, in Muhlenberg County, KY to the late William James Cotton and Nora Dearmond Cotton. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her daughter, Diann Carol Durham, and brother, James Cotton.
Eula made her living as a housekeeper. She enjoyed being outside and spending time with her grandsons. She also loved going dancing at the Loch Mary Center in Earlington and loved talking on the phone.
She is survived by her grandsons, Steven Durham and Johnathon Durham; and great grandchildren, Zeke Daily, Ellington Durham, and Jackson Fuqua.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 5, 2026, at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Dean Durham officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Johnathan Durham, Steven Durham, Nick Jones, Coty Jones, Cody Denton, Daniel Durham, and Dean Durham. Honorary pallbearer will be Bradley Johnson.

Ethel “Louise” McRoy, 77, of Hanson, KY, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at her residence.
She was born on September 28, 1948, in Hopkins County, KY to the late Jewell Dunbar and Nell Brown Dunbar. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, James Ernest McRoy; her sister, Dorothy Fields; and her three brothers, Eddy Dunbar, Ray Dunbar, and Lawrence Dunbar.
Louise was of the Pentecostal and Baptist faith. In her free time, she enjoyed watching Lifetime TV and Golden Girls, and she also enjoyed tending to her flowers
She is survived by her three nephews, Brian (Sonya) Dunbar, Ernest (Sonya) Dunbar, and Bradley (Deanna) Dunbar.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday May 29, 2026, at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville, KY. Burial will follow after the service.

Bryce Anthony Dixon, 48 of Madisonville, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN surrounded by his family, friends, and co-workers.
Bryce was born on February 26, 1978 to the late Dana Gene Dixon and late Karen Faulk Wilson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandparents Billy Gene Dixon, Earnest Dean and Geraldine Faulk, uncle Roger Dean Faulk, and aunt Sherry Faulk Hobgood.
Bryce graduated from Jessamine High School in Nicholasville, KY. He was an employee of Toyota Manufacturing Company in Princeton, IN for the past 23 years. Running was a large part of his past as he ran 5K, 10K, marathons, and other competitive races. He was an avid UK fan of all sports. He was a born again Christian and member of Olive Branch Baptist Church.
Bryce is survived by his special grandmother, Remona Dixon, of Madisonville, aunt Lydia (Rick) Long, of Hanson, step father, Ambrose Wilson of Midway, half brother, Jarrod Dixon of Tennessee, step brothers Jeremy Griffin of Pennsylvania, Colby Griffin of South Carolina, stepmother Karen Dixon of North Carolina, uncles Jeff (Sherry) Dixon of Virginia, and Steve Faulk of Madisonville, along with many special cousins.
Funeral Services will be held at 2pm on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at Barnett Strother Funeral Home - Madisonville Chapel. The service will be officiated by Gary Taylor, with special words of remembrance by Tim Densmore. Justin Cardwell will officiate the graveside service. Burial will follow at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Mortons Gap, Ky.
Visitation will be from 11am until time of funeral.
Pallbearers will be Brad Long, Mitchell Faulk, Jordan Gough, Todd Sloan, Chet Timmons, and Pat Kelly.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Teen Challenge Southeast Region, Dixon, KY in memory of Bryce Dixon.

Mary Ann Teofilo, 62, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Friday May 22, 2026, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN, surrounded by her family.
Mary was born on May 12, 1964, in Madisonville to the late Ford Lee Cunningham and Mary Scott Brown Cunningham. In addition to her father, she is also preceded in death by her sister, Vicky O’Bryan; maternal grandparents, Mary Scott and David Scott; and paternal grandparents, Almer Cunningham and Selby Lee Cunningham.
Mary was a CNA, proud to serve those in the nursing home where she worked. She loved to work with flowers. Her hobbies included shopping, watching movies, and going to yard sales.
She is survived by her brothers, Bobby (Tonya) Cunningham of Madisonville, Brian (Kristen) Cunningham of Mortons Gap, KY and David Lee Cunningham; her nephew, Brian Cunningham; her caregiver, Kady Cunningham Jenkins; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home - Madisonville Chapel with Rev. Bobby Todd officiating. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until the service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Brian Ford Cunningham, Brian Oakley Cunningham, Josh Jenkins, Pat Cunningham, Bobby Todd, and Mark Minton.

Robert Sheets, 82, of Madisonville, KY, formally of Salem, KY, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville, surrounded by his family.
Robert was born on May 30, 1943, in Custer, South Dakota to the late Raymond and Glenara Clark Sheets. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, JoAnn Harris Sheets; three sons, Curtis W. Love, Donald J. McCoy, and Michael McCoy; three brothers, Ray Sheets, James Sheets, and Dexter Sheets; and three sisters, Ella Skinner, Mary Vanderlinden, and Verna Slaughter.
Robert was a United States Army Veteran. He pursued a career as a heavy machine operator, and he was a member of Operating Engineers Local 181 in Henderson, KY.
He is survived by his children, Karen (Allen) Brown, Tina Sheets (Dave), Robert Dean Sheets, all of Columbia, MO, and Theresa (Bob) Stanley and Russell Love, both of Dixon, KY; his daughter in law, Chris Love of Salem, KY; his three brothers, Kenny Sheets, Larry (Lisa) Sheets, and Curtis Sheets, all of Columbia, MO; his two sisters, Gloria (Doug) Schmitt of Jacksonville, FL, and Peggy Sheets of Columbia, MO; Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Per his wishes, no memorial services will be held.
A burial will be held at a later date in Union Chapel Cemetery in Girard, IL.

Mildred Oldham Whitfield, 97, of Madisonville, KY, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Baptist Health Deaconess.
She was born on March 16, 1929, in Hopkins County, KY to the late Autie W. Oldham and Floy Gill Oldham. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Walter W. Williams; second husband, Carl C. Whitfield; sisters, Lenna Allen and Jane Combs; and brothers, George Hubert Oldham and Maurice Oldham.
Mildred had worked as a VP and trust officer at Old National Bank. She was a member of First United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Upper Room Sunday School Class.
She is survived by her daughters, Libbie Solomonson, Leslie (Jeff) Robinson, and Ann (Kenny) Vaughn; sons, John C. (Phyllis) Whitfield and Wade Whitfield; brother, Roscoe Charles (Carolyn) Oldham; grandchildren, Laura Lynn, Andrew (Sara) Solomonson, Sarah (Eric) Whitfield Bearden, Margaret (Keith) Howard, Jack (Kathleen) Whitfield, Logan (Megan) Whitfield, Meredith (Ava Fergerson) Whitfield, Mason (Ashley) Vaughn, Caroline Robinson, and Henry Robinson; and great grandchildren, Alec, Spencer, and Avery Lynn, Ellen and Maxwell Solomonson, DL and John Bearden, Liesel, Abram, Emmitt and Greta Whitfield, along with Hayden Vaughn, Alys, and JC Whitfield; and niece, Kimberly Oldham.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, May 18, 2026, at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until service time Monday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be John Whitfield, Wade Whitfield, Jack Whitfield, Andrew Solomonson, Alec Lynn, and Mason Vaughn. Honorary pallbearer will be Curtis Crick.
