ContinueCARE Hospital was invited to Boss Lift 2026 hosted by the Kentucky Army National Guard. Justin Graham is a patient caregiver, who works part time for our hospital while attending nursing school. Justin, thank you for your service and sacrifice and the honor given to Lisa McGregor and myself to be able to attend today’s event.

What an incredible honor to be invited to participate in Boss Lift 2026. Today provided a firsthand look at the skill, professionalism, dedication, and expertise of the Kentucky Army National Guard and the vital role they play in serving our state, our nation, and the citizens of the United States.

The commitment these men and women make to protect and serve—while balancing careers, families, and military responsibilities—is truly inspiring. I am grateful for the opportunity to learn more about their mission and gain a deeper appreciation for the sacrifices they make on our behalf.

Thank you to the Kentucky Army National Guard for this memorable experience and for your unwavering service to our communities and country.

ContinueCARE Hospital at Baptist Health Deaconess Madisonville was honored to welcome Kentucky State Representative Wade Williams. As healthcare leaders, we believe it is important to stay engaged with our elected officials at the local, state, and federal levels to ensure the voices of healthcare workers, patients, and our communities are heard. Understanding who represents you and actively participating in the democratic process are vital ways to help shape the future of healthcare and public policy.

Representative Williams serves Hopkins County in the Kentucky House of Representatives and plays an important role in healthcare-related decision-making through his leadership as Chair of the House Budget Review Subcommittee on Health and Family Services, Co-Chair of the Interim Joint Budget Review Subcommittee on Health and Family Services, and his service on the Medicaid Oversight and Advisory Board, as well as the Appropriations and Revenue Committee. These positions help influence policies and funding decisions that directly impact healthcare providers, patients, and rural communities across Kentucky. We appreciate Representative Williams’ commitment to staying connected with local healthcare organizations and value the opportunity to share the challenges and successes of serving our region.

Good morning to our staff, providers, patients, families and friends. Live today and everyday with purpose. You are loved and appreciated. ☀️

“Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.” — Hebrews 13:2

Today is a reminder that kindness is never wasted. The small gestures—the smile, the patience, the open door, the benefit of the doubt—may feel ordinary, but they carry eternal weight. You never know who God places in your path or how your compassion might be the very answer to someone else’s prayer.

Go into this day with a soft heart and open hands. Choose grace over judgment, welcome over walls, love over fear. What seems simple to you could be sacred to someone else.

Walk gently. Be generous. Entertain angels.
