A native of New Orleans who was raised in Mississippi, Dr. Witty brings a passion for helping patients get back to doing what they love. Before joining STHS, he served as Assistant Team Physician for Southeastern Louisiana University Athletics, providing specialized orthopedic and sports medicine care to student-athletes.

The Pediatric Inpatient Unit and Emergency Department at St. Tammany Health System’s flagship St. Tammany Parish Hospital recently announced its recertification as a Certified Autism Center by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES). ✨

To renew the credential, at least 80% of the departments’ patient-facing staff completed up-to-date training to better support, assist and care for every patient, especially autistic and sensory-sensitive individuals and their families.

There are more opportunities to receive primary care thanks to the addition of expanded Saturday hours at the St. Tammany Physicians Network Family Medicine Clinic in Folsom.

The clinic is offering appointments and walk-in visits from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on select Saturdays, with point-of-care testing available onsite.

The clinic provides care for patients of all ages, from newborns to older adults, including treatment for acute and chronic conditions, annual wellness visits and more. Same-day appointments are often available.

There was a little extra color — and a lot of extra smiles — in the Surgery Medicine unit at St. Tammany Parish Hospital this week as STHS colleagues gathered for a special Red Nose Day morning huddle. ❤️

Our Surgery Medicine team proudly sported red noses, showing that laughter, connection and compassion can make a meaningful difference — both inside and outside the hospital.
