Milton was born on August 27, 1957 to Milton Lewis Wager, Sr and Mary Evelyn (Coldiron) Wager and was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Kayla Denise Wager. He is survived by his son, Stephen Wager and his grandchildren, Stevie Wager and Oliver Wager.

Daniel Mosley Pope, age 36, passed away on August 31, 2026. He was born on April 20, 1990, in College Station, Texas, to Janie and Terry Pope.
Daniel grew up in Madison County, where he attended his early years of school in North Zulch before graduating from Madisonville High School. Following graduation, Daniel served in the United States Navy. He later built a career in healthcare, working as a radiographer in diagnostic imaging.
Daniel grew up with a love for life and the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping and was gifted with a talent for woodworking and metalwork. He found joy and satisfaction in working with his hands and creating things.
Above all else, Daniel’s greatest love was being a father to his sons, Seth and Jackson. His boys were the center of his world, and being their dad was the role he cherished most.
Daniel will be remembered as a devoted father and a loving son, grandson, brother, and friend. He was a man of integrity, loyalty, and independence who lived his life with quiet strength and a generous heart. His kindness, generosity, and genuine care for others left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives he touched.

Racheal was born on March 14, 1960 in Madisonville to Glyn Manning, Sr. and Muggie Lee (Johnson) Word. She attended Madisonville schools during her childhood and formative years. Later in life, she pursued her passion for caring for others by attending nursing school and earning her license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). She went on to dedicate more than ten years of her career to UTMB, where she served as a nurse. Her years in nursing reflected her hardworking spirit and her willingness to care for others – a career through which she touched many lives.
Racheal was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Jackie Ray Manning, Mary Louise Manning, and Valerie Manning; and her granddaughter, Keimari Fletcher.

David Bill Nichols; 69, known to family as Bill, passed away on July 3, 2026, of natural causes. A memorial service we be held from 4-6PM on Friday; August 7, 2026 at Day Funeral Home Chapel Madisonville, TX.
Bill was born on January 24, 1957, in Inglewood, California, to William David Nichols and Norma Jean Nichols. In 1965, when his father transferred to NASA’s Johnson Space Center, the family moved to Clear Lake City, Texas. That move shaped the rest of his life and became the start of his long connection to Texas.
He attended Clear Lake High School and went on to study at the University of Houston, the University of Maryland, and the Defense Intelligence College. Bill built a career that reflected both his intelligence and his steady discipline. He served as an Unconventional Threat Analyst Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy and later worked at the Department of Defense.
Bill was a studious man with a curious mind and a wide range of interests. He loved learning languages and spoke fluent Russian and English, often translating between the two during his naval career. He also studied several other languages and enjoyed cooking gourmet meals inspired by the cultures he studied. For him, language and food were both ways of understanding the world more deeply, and both were lifelong pursuits.

Kay Shilcutt Hensarling of Madisonville, Texas, entered the Gates of Glory, healthy and whole, on August 2, 2026. She was 88 years old at the time of her passing.
Kay was born in Houston on April 10, 1938, to Eunice Kelley Shilcutt and Carl Jones Shilcutt. She was a 1956 graduate of Spring Branch High School and then continued her education at Sam Houston State University. She soon met William Royce (W.R.) Hensarling of Madisonville. The young couple married on Christmas Day, 1957, embarking on 68 years of matrimony.
That Christmas marked a big shift in Kay’s life: from urban to country, from city traffic to frequently unpaved roads, Kay embraced it all and never missed a step. She nurtured her love of gardening (particularly roses) and beautiful sunsets in her new home town. She found a group of very competitive and dedicated tennis players to keep her athletic skills sharp and, truthfully, pretty formidable. She delighted in her friends who met for lunches and river trips.
But through all that, Kay and W.R. were growing a family. Besides her Lord, family was foremost in her life, and she was THERE for each member’s events. From freezing, windy, or rainy ballgames, to scorching horse competitions (she could bring the horse and the trailer, no problem), to induction ceremonies, performances of any description – Kay was there. And always, she was smiling and applauding, perfectly poised.

Katheryn LaMuriel Sharp, lovingly known as LaMuriel and "Mowo" to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2026, at the age of 87.
Born on September 24, 1938, in Madisonville, TX, to Truett and Louise (Jones) Wester, LaMuriel was a lifelong Texan whose greatest joys were her faith, her family, and the simple blessings of home. She graduated from Madisonville High School and, on March 23, 1957, married the love of her life, R. Datus Sharp. Together they shared a devoted marriage until his passing.
LaMuriel embraced her calling as a homemaker, banker’s wife, mother, and grandmother. She created a home filled with love, kindness, grace, and unwavering support for those she cherished. Nothing brought her greater happiness than spending time with Datus, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She found joy in all the many daily excursions she and Datus enjoyed together whether it involved hunting, fishing, golf or the horse races - they were devoted to each other. She was the ultimate caretaker and loved tending to her flowers, watching the birds outside her window, and appreciating God’s beauty in nature. Her Madisonville High School yearbook described her as “An All-American girl that radiates joy,” a sentiment that remained true throughout her life. Barbara Ann Clark Henson, lovingly known to family and friends as "Gigi," entered the presence of her Savior after a life marked by unwavering faith, boundless love, and joyful service. She was born on August 29, 1931, in Hagerman, New Mexico, to Fred Holmes Clark, Sr. and Hazel Ernestine Langenegger Clark.
Born during the Great Depression, Barbara's early years were shaped by perseverance and resilience. Her family moved to the Aspermont, Texas area in search of work before eventually settling in Denison, Texas, where she spent her childhood and young adult years.
On June 18, 1949, Barbara married the love of her life, Arthur Monroe Henson. Their marriage of nearly 73 years was a beautiful testimony of love, faith, and commitment until Art's passing in May 2022.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Fred Holmes "Buddy" Clark, Jr.; her beloved husband, Arthur Monroe Henson; and her son, Fred Arthur Henson.
