As we celebrate 120 years of love, faith, and compassionate care at Madrid Home, we are reminded that our story was built generation after generation by caregivers—especially nurses—who devoted their lives to serving others with dignity, kindness, and grace.
That same spirit is alive today in Karen, our September Employee of the Month. ❤️ Karen was overwhelmingly selected by her coworkers, and it is easy to understand why. She embodies the compassion and servant heart so beautifully reflected in the words of Mother Teresa: “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”
Karen does those small things with great love every single night.
We are sharing her recognition this evening for a special reason. As many of us are preparing for bed, turning off the lights, and settling in for the night, Karen is just beginning her work—watching over our residents, answering their calls, offering reassurance, providing skilled nursing care, and making sure they know they are safe, valued, and never alone.
For 120 years, Madrid Home has been blessed by people who answer the call to care for others. Karen, you are carrying that legacy forward beautifully.
Congratulations, Karen, on being named September Employee of the Month. Thank you for your compassion, your dedication, and for caring through the night when so many others are sleeping. We are incredibly grateful you are part of the Madrid Home family. 💙
