I HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO TAKE AMANDA’S STORY TO WASHINGTON, DC.
And I’m asking for your help getting me there.
On September 24, I’ve been invited to attend the Lives Interrupted book launch at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, DC.
This book tells the stories of lives stolen by the fentanyl crisis.
One of those lives is my little sister, Amanda.
Anybody who knows my story knows what fentanyl has taken from my family. Amanda wasn’t a statistic. She wasn’t a number on an overdose chart.
She was my little sister.
She was a daughter. A sister. A mother. A friend. She was funny, she was loved, and she mattered.
And now I have an opportunity to go to our nation’s capital and help make sure her story is heard.
Families whose loved ones are featured in the book have been invited to attend the launch and read their loved one’s profile. I want to stand there and speak Amanda’s name.
But Black Sheep Recovery Warfare is a grassroots nonprofit ministry, and making the trip from Mississippi to Washington, DC comes with expenses.
Our goal is to raise $1,500 to help cover travel, lodging, transportation, food, and the expenses associated with making this trip possible.
If you believe in what Black Sheep Recovery Warfare is doing, if addiction or fentanyl has touched your family, or if you simply believe these lives deserve to be remembered, I’m asking you to consider helping us get there.
Every $5, $10, $20 or $50 adds up.

This isn't a vacation.
This is an opportunity to carry Amanda's story from Mississippi all the way to Washington, DC—and to stand alongside other families who refuse to allow the people they loved to become nothing more than statistics.
I couldn't save my sister.
But I can speak her name.
I can tell her story.
And I can keep fighting for the ones who are still here.
Thank you for believing in this mission and helping us continue to be a voice for the broken, the forgotten, the addicted, and the families left behind.
