That’s completely understandable. Let’s talk honestly about what a SkinPen® treatment may feel like.

A topical numbing cream is applied before treatment to help keep you comfortable. Most clients describe the sensation as light pressure, vibration or a scratchy feeling—not the sharp “shot” sensation they imagined.

Some areas, such as the forehead or around the mouth, may feel more sensitive. Your provider will check in throughout the treatment and can pause whenever you need a moment.

Afterward, your skin may look and feel similar to a mild-to-moderate sunburn, with temporary redness, warmth or tightness. Your individual experience and recovery can vary.

Before the weekend: take medication only as directed, follow the labeled storage instructions, and know how to reach your prescribing provider. Do not double, skip or reschedule a dose without appropriate instructions.
