🌸New Moms, This Is Your Permission Slip

One of the things I hear often is:
"I'd love a massage, but I don't have anyone to watch the baby."
So let me gently remind you...
You don't always need childcare to care for yourself.
At Wildflowers, you're welcome to bring your newborn or young baby to your session.
Whether baby is:
✨ Sleeping on your chest during skin-to-skin time
✨ Resting peacefully in a basket beside the massage table
✨ Needing a feeding break
✨ Simply wanting to stay close to mama
We'll work together to create a comfortable experience for both of you.
Skin-to-skin contact offers beautiful benefits for both mother and baby, helping support bonding, regulation, comfort, and connection during those precious early months.
And while you're caring for your little one, it's important to remember that your body deserves care too.
The postpartum season can be beautiful, exhausting, overwhelming, and demanding all at once.
You don't have to wait until everything is perfect.
You don't have to wait until you find a babysitter.
You don't have to wait until you're running on empty.
Sometimes healing looks like a peaceful room, a sleeping baby nearby, and a mama finally taking a moment to receive care.
If you've been wondering whether you can bring your baby to your session, the answer is simple:
🤍 Just ask.
We'll do our best to make it a special experience for both of you.

Something New Is Coming to an Existing Favorite!

One of the things I love most about what I do is finding thoughtful ways to enhance the experience for my clients.
Beginning soon, my Targeted Pain Relief + Cupping Therapy sessions will also include red light therapy.
This intentional combination is designed to support:
🌿 Muscle recovery
🌿 Circulation
🌿 Relaxation
🌿 Areas of chronic tension and discomfort
🌿 Overall wellness and healing
If you've been considering a session focused on relieving stubborn tension, supporting recovery, or simply giving your body some extra care, this may be something to look forward to.
Because healing isn't always about doing more. Sometimes it's about giving the body the right environment to do what it was designed to do.

Understanding the Nervous System Shift

Have you ever wondered why you feel different after a massage?
Maybe you came in with racing thoughts, tight shoulders, a clenched jaw, and a long to-do list. Then somewhere during your session, your breathing slowed, your muscles softened, and your mind became a little quieter.
That's your nervous system shifting.
When we're under stress, our bodies spend a lot of time in what is often called "fight or flight" mode. This can show up as:
• Tight muscles
• Headaches
• Poor sleep
• Shallow breathing
• Digestive discomfort
• Feeling constantly "on"
Massage encourages the body to move into a more relaxed state, sometimes called "rest and restore."
This shift is why some people:
✨ Fall asleep during their session
✨ Notice their stomach growling
✨ Take deeper breaths
✨ Feel emotional
✨ Leave feeling calm, sleepy, or grounded
It's not just about relaxing muscles. It's about creating space for the body to remember what calm feels like.
Sometimes the most important thing we do isn't pushing deeper into a muscle—it's helping the nervous system feel safe enough to let go.
Have you ever noticed a change in how you feel after a massage?

🌿 Did You Know? 🌿
One of the most common things clients say during a massage is:
"My stomach keeps growling! I'm so embarrassed."
Please don't be.
That gentle rumbling is often a sign that your body is shifting into a relaxed state. When you're stressed, your body focuses on "fight or flight." When you finally slow down and relax, your nervous system can switch into "rest and digest."
In other words, those little tummy sounds may simply be a sign that your body is feeling safe enough to relax.
At Wildflowers, we welcome all the normal things that happen during a massage:
✨ Stomach growls
✨ Deep sighs
✨ Falling asleep
✨ A few tears
✨ Quiet moments
Your body has a way of telling its story when given the space to rest.
Have you ever noticed your stomach grumbling during a massage?
